Step 1
To change the background greeting on your computer, you need to configure the system in a slightly non-standard way. It is safe to say that this operation implies some modification of the standard system files in the OS. Click the "Start" button, select "Run" and enter the command regedit in the line, press the enter button on the keyboard. The Registry Editor window will appear.
Step 2
In the left part of the editor window, sequentially expand the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Authentication LogonUI Background by left-clicking on the triangles next to the names of the path folders.
Step 3
Expand the Background folder and go to the right side of the window. Click on an empty space with the right mouse button and select "Create". Select DWORD (32-bit) from the drop-down menu and name the OEMBackground parameter. Next, assign the value "1". You can close the registry editor.
Step 4
Now you need to place your background image in the place where the operating system is used to looking for it. Follow path C: WindowsSystem32oobeinfoackgrounds. Rename your image backgroundDefault.
Step 5
You just have to restart your computer and check the result of your actions. The image of your choice will now appear in the background of Windows Welcome.
