If you want your computer to be customized to your liking in every detail and reflect your personality, you can change the standard Windows labels - set a personalized greeting. To do this, you will have to stock up on some knowledge of how to do it simply, quickly and without compromising the system.
Necessary
computer with internet access
Instructions
Step 1
Download Resource Hacker. With its help, you can change any available resources in executable files, including various inscriptions, to which the inscription "Greeting" belongs.
Step 2
Unpack the archive with the program and run the ResHacker.exe file. In the window that opens, select File - Open. There select the Windows folder -> system32 and find the logonui.exe file. Further, on the left side of the screen, find the file with the "gear" icon and the name 1049 (see figure)
Step 3
Change the "Welcome" caption to whatever you want to see there, for example "Good morning!" or the like Please note that the quotes must be left. If desired, you can change other labels (see folders 1, 2, 3) in the figure. After replacing the caption, press the Compile Script button and then select File -> Save As. And save the file somewhere where you can easily find it (for example, on your desktop) named logonui.exe. Don't save it where it was!
Step 4
Go to My Computer - Windows folder -> system32. Make a backup copy of the original logonui.exe file and save it somewhere in a new folder. After that take your modified file and copy to Windows -> system32 and Windows -> system32 -> dllcashe. In both cases, select "Replace" in the window that opens. Immediately after replacing, a message from Windows File Protection will open asking you to restore the original file. Give it up and restart your computer
