The virus is a cunning and dexterous digital organism that has been trained to disguise itself well to inflict maximum damage on your system. One of the most common ways to hide a virus is to change the properties of a folder. After that, you cannot adjust these properties until you fix the problems. How to deal with them is not a secret. Specific measures will be given below.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the menu of the "Start" button. Then click "Run". You will need this to restore the folder properties. In the Command Prompt dialog box, enter gpedit.msc. This command will launch the "Group Policy" tool. Press the "+" button to enter the user configuration menu.
Step 2
Then go to the "Administrative Templates" menu. Then select Windows Components and open the File Explorer menu. You need to find the value "Remove Folder Options command from the service menu." Find it in the right pane of the Service window in File Explorer. It should be in the "Group Policy" window.
Step 3
Select "Option" - the tab located in the "Properties" window, and then select the check box next to "Not Configured". To confirm the execution of this command, click the OK button. This operation will return the folder properties to their original state. This will enable you to find hidden files in this directory, check them for malicious activity, etc. Some applications can independently create files and hide them in a folder, which, if these files are activated, negatively affects the system memory. In other words, the computer starts to slow down and freeze.
Step 4
Use an alternate method to recreate the folder properties. Open Registry Editor. This operation has already been partially described in the paragraphs above. Go to the "Start" button menu, run the "Run" command, in the dialog box, enter the word regedit. The system registry editor will appear in front of you. Find the key: HKEY_CURRENT USERS / Software / Microsoft / Windows / Currentversion / Policies / Explorer. Next, find the No folder options key. Delete the given key. Close the system registry and restart your computer.
