In addition to diagnostic purposes, the speaker serves to notify the user when he presses more than four keys simultaneously. In Linux operating systems, this speaker can signal an incorrect input of a command in the bash code interpreter.
Step 2
There are two ways to disable the speaker in Windows operating system. The first is to edit the corresponding registry entry. Open the regedit utility by typing its name in the program search bar of the system's Start menu and selecting the appropriate result.

On the left side of the window that appears, you will see a list of registry branches. From the list below, click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Then go to subfolders Control Panel - Sound. On the right side of the editor, you will see a list of options. Double click on the line Beep. Specify No in the "Value" field, then click "OK" and close the editor window. Restart your computer to apply the changes.

Muting the speaker can also be done through the command line of the system. To do this, open the Start menu and type cmd in the search bar. Select "Command Prompt" from the results. In the window that appears, enter the following requests:
Net stop beep
Sc config beep start = disabled
Step 5
To disable the speaker in Linux, open a terminal by using the Ctrl and T key combination or by selecting the "Terminal" item in the list of applications. In the window that appears, enter:
Setterm –blength 0
This command sets the beep length to 0. Thus, the beep will no longer be heard when the wrong command is executed.
Step 6
You can also turn off the speaker completely on the computer itself. To do this, disconnect the computer from the power, and then open the side cover of the device using a screwdriver. Find the wire that goes from this speaker. The location of the speaker depends on the motherboard model. Disconnect this wire or carefully remove the speaker from the board, then close the computer and turn it on by connecting it to the mains.
