Opera is one of the popular browsers in which, up to version 11, plugins were officially absent in the sense that these extensions are embedded in relation to the Mozilla Firefox browser. But now the installation and management of plugins is very simple, and the number of such extensions in the list on the official website is growing very quickly.

Instructions

Step 1

Start Opera and open its menu by clicking on the appropriate button or by pressing the Alt key. Then go to the "Extensions" section. This operation can also be done without using the mouse, just press the "P" key. In this section, activate the topmost line ("Select extension"), and this operation can be performed without a mouse by pressing the Enter key. As a result, the browser in safe mode (via the https protocol) will download a page containing a list of plugins from the Opera server. It is constantly growing and now contains about a thousand different extensions.

Step 2

Select the plugin you need from the list. By default, the page expands to the Featured tab, but you can also search for the extension in the Popular, Featured, and New sections. If you need a specific plugin (for example, for working with images, for displaying weather forecasts or working in social networks, etc.), then select the appropriate section in the "Categories" list. Each of the extensions in this list has a short description, and if you click on its name, you will open a page with a more detailed description, screenshots, download statistics, user reviews and other information.

Step 3

Click the button labeled "Install" when you have selected the plugin you want. The extension will be installed automatically, all you need to do is press the confirmation button in the dialog box that will open after downloading. Some of the installed plugins start working immediately after installation, others require a browser restart.

Step 4

To manage installed plugins (or remove them), Opera has a separate settings page. To open it, just press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + E, or select the "Manage extensions" item in the "Extensions" section in the browser menu.
