If you admire photos of celebrities in magazines and on advertisements, know that these stars achieved the effect of perfectly smooth skin with the help of Photoshop, and in the same way you can create a high-class image from your own photo, worthy of the first cover of any fashion magazine. You can smooth out the skin in a photo and carry out high-quality retouching in Adobe Photoshop.
Instructions
Step 1
First, open the selected photo in Photoshop and copy the main layer by choosing the Duplicate Layer command from the layers palette menu. For the best effect, you need to smooth and retouch the face without affecting the eyes and lips, which should remain crisp.
Step 2
To do this, switch to the Quick Mask mode by pressing the Q key. Select the Brush tool from the toolbar and set the desired size and softness.
Step 3
Click on the D key on your keyboard to set the default colors, and then paint over the surface of the face with a brush, choosing a smaller brush size for painting complex and small paths. Leave the eyes, nose parts, lips and eyebrows unpainted.
Step 4
Gently draw the line between the forehead skin and the hairline. To exit Quick Mask mode, press Q. Invert the selection by choosing Inverse from the Select menu, then right-click on the selection and select Feather with a value of 10 pixels to slightly blur the edges of the selection.
Step 5
Now open the filter menu and select the Gaussian Blur command with a radius of no more than three pixels. To avoid the excessive artificiality of the smoothed skin, open the filter menu again and select the Noise -> Add Noise option and add a little noise to the photo in the amount of 2.5% with the Uniformed and Monochromatic values. Your photo is ready.
