Files with the flv extension are often found on the Internet. These are video files, usually made with Adobe Flash. Most of the videos on Youtube and similar sites are created in this way. They are not always opened with regular movie viewing programs.
Instructions
Step 1
To view it, you need to download some program specially designed for viewing FLV files. For example:
Adobe Flash Player
Flv player
Install by following the instructions of the installation wizard. There should be no problems in the process. Everything is as usual - press the buttons "OK", "Agree", etc. Then run and look at the flv files.
Step 2
If you want to watch in your favorite and familiar player, then install a program to convert flv files to avi, mpeg4 or some other format supported by your player.

Step 4
After installation, configure the program. On first launch, specify the folder where the files will be saved after conversion. In principle, of course, this is any folder, but it is better to create a new one, and preferably on a disk different from where the operating system is located. Naturally, this disk should have enough free space - video files are not small.
Step 5
If you are not an expert in converting video formats, then set the conversion settings as follows:
- Output Container - avi (output file format - AVI)
- Output Video Codec - DivX (used video codec)
- Output Audio Codec - mp3 (used audio codec)
- Video Scale Size - NoChange (do not resize the image)
- Frame / Sec - 25 (frame rate)
- Bitrate kbps - 1008 (bitrate)
- Leave all other settings unchanged.
And if you are an expert, then decide for yourself which settings to choose.
Step 6
Then drag the movie you want to convert into the program window and click the "Encode (Active Files)" button. If the file is large, the conversion will take some time.
