The problem of playing files in mkv also often consists in insufficient allocation of system resources. Try to end current programs, close browsers, image editors, check the notification area. In the Task Manager, view the running processes, terminate those that you will not be using while the movie is playing, and make sure that the graphics card, RAM, and processor resources are sufficient to play high-definition movies. You can view the configuration of your computer in the "Device Manager", or in the properties of the "My Computer" menu. Also view the amount of video card memory in the adapter properties.
