Instructions
Step 1
The Alcohol 120% program is a good solution for copying, duplicating various discs, including CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, as well as their further rewriting to a blank disc. Therefore, do not be lazy, install this application on your computer and use it as needed. If you do not want to load your computer with additional program files, you can use the portable version of Alcohol 120%, which does not require installation and registration.
Step 2
Run the program by double-clicking the left mouse button on the shortcut on the desktop (it usually appears after installing the program), or by opening the boot file Alcohol_120_Portable.exe in the folder with the portable version. Regardless of which version of the program you are using in your work, the quality of the recording will not suffer.
Step 3
Place the disc in your DVD drive. Then, on the left side of the working window of the Alcohol 120% application, find the item "Create images". If necessary, in the next window, check one of the disk copying items: skipping read errors, quickly skipping erroneous blocks (not for any drive), improved sector scanning, reading subchannel data from the current disk, measuring data positioning. Choose your reading speed. However, if you do not really understand all the nuances of the program, it is best to leave everything unchanged, by default. Click the "Next" button, after which you will be redirected to the next page.
Step 4
Here, in the appropriate sections, specify the format of the image, the name of the image, and its location. For convenience, the program shows how much free space is on each disk of the computer, so that you can better navigate. Press the "Start" button and wait for the end of the copying process. After it finishes, the DVD drive will open automatically. Remove the copied disc, click "Finish" and go to the main program window.
Step 5
Insert a blank disc into your computer. Use the mouse to select the image that you are going to burn to the disc. In the left part of the Alcohol 120% working window, find and open the "Burn DVD / CD from image" item, after which the following window will automatically start. Check the box "Delete image file after burning" or uncheck it if you plan to leave the image on the hard disk of your computer, and click the "Next" button. Wait for the disc to burn. Then close the window with the "Finish" button and exit the program.
Step 6
If the image you need is not displayed in the main window of the Alcohol 120% program, use the "Image Search" function. Specify the file format and run a search. When the required file is found, add it to the program and burn the image to disk.
