In addition to standard tools (styles, textures, vector shapes, brushes, filters) in Photoshop there are also non-standard ones made by third-party developers or by Adobe itself. While these tools do not have an official status, they allow you to significantly expand your creative possibilities. Finding them is not difficult. Another question is how to install.
Instructions
Step 1
Take the necessary file and place it in a folder along the following path: C: Program FilesAdobeAdobe PhotoshopPlug-InsFilters. However, this path will be specified if you used the default settings during the installation process. Otherwise, you need to remember where you installed the program. With the subsequent launch of Photoshop, the filter (brush, texture) should appear in the list of filters (tools, textures). Please note that if the program was open during installation, the filter will not appear, so you need to restart Photoshop.
Step 2
Or locate the Adobe Photoshop folder, right-click on it, and click Find. In the search bar, enter the extension of the required file - * 8bf (the extension of the filter that you are going to install). The search will return all files with this extension that are in this directory, and since they are all in the Plug-insFilters folder, you can easily find this section. Click on any file from the list that appears, and then click "Open the folder containing the object". This will open the Plug-insFilters folder, where you need to put all the necessary files with this extension. After starting the program, they will appear in the filter list. Do the same with other tools (gradients, styles, brushes, etc.)
