Any business has its own foundation, the first business from which everything starts. So, working with the operating system begins with the welcome screen. It is much more pleasant to use a beautiful or rare welcome screen than the standard one, which is already boring. You can use a special program to change the welcome screen.
Necessary
Windows Logon Editor software
Instructions
Step 1
From the name of the program, it becomes clear how the program works. It should be noted that this utility is designed to change the standard welcome screen image only in the Windows 7 operating system. The program itself is small, it is free and does not require installation. Interestingly, the utility allows you not only to replace the welcome screen, but also to edit some of its display parameters.
Step 2
After downloading the program, which is packed into an archive, you must unpack it to any folder on your hard drive. To perform this action, use the WinRar or Total Commander programs. Now you can start the program, open it by double-clicking on the executable file Logon Editor.exe. Do not forget to run the utility with administrator rights (right-click on the file, then select "Run as administrator").
Step 3
In the main window of the program, click the Browse button, then select any image that can be suitable for the welcome screen, click the Apply Logon button. If you want to return to the original welcome screen, click the Restore Logon button.
Step 4
It is also possible to change the welcome screen without using special programs, for this you will need to change the settings of the "group policies" of your operating system. Click the Start button, left-click on the search bar and type gpedit.msc, then press Enter.
Step 5
In the window that opens, select the Computer Configuration section, then go to the Administrative Templates section, select the System item, the Logon item.
Step 6
On the right side of the Group Policy window, select the Always use custom logon background option and set the value to Enabled.
Step 7
Now it remains to change the standard picture of the welcome screen, which is located at C: WindowsSystem32oobeinfoackgrounds. Replace the default backgroundDefault.jpg"
