Sometimes we go to QIP or ICQ only to chat with a specific person. And meaningless messages from strangers turn out to be very inappropriate. The special status "Invisible" helps to hide from unwanted correspondence, but the all-seeing eye of qip can "bite" you. What to do to prevent this from happening?

The easiest way to deal with the problem is if you want to hide from a specific contact. Then just add it to the list of unseen users. There is also an ignore list for especially intrusive contacts. If this does not help, use the "Remove from contact list" function - then you will erase your UIN from the list of contacts of the annoying user. At the same time, make sure that your number does not get to him again.
Step 2
If the matter is not limited to one contact, you will have to hide from the all-seeing eye of qip. It works on the following principle: it reads data sent from contacts. And if any information about you gets on the network, the eye informs the user that you are hiding. Therefore, when trying to hide, do not change the main status, do not expose an additional x-status. Also note that users who are logged on after you will not be visible through the qip all-seeing eye.
Step 3
For the same reasons, do not go into contact data, do not read their statuses. Performing these actions, you also leave information about yourself in the log of actions, and the all-seeing eye notices you. Turn off the "automatic request for x-status" function - your requests are also read by the program and allow you to find you on the network.
Step 4
Are you still found and receiving messages? Pretend that the all-seeing eye of the contact is clearly broken - that is, you are not online. Just do not respond to incoming messages - soon the person will decide that the all-seeing eye of his program was mistaken and will stop writing.
Step 5
The all-seeing eye of the same program will not show a person in invisible mode. That is, if your unwanted interlocutor uses the same version of QIP as you, then his all-seeing eye will not detect you. However, putting on a different program for the sake of conspiracy is a completely extreme case.
