Internet speed is a constant value that does not depend on anything other than your tariff plan for accessing the network. The only way to control the traffic going to your PC is to rearrange the priorities of the computer in such a way that important tasks load the access channel as much as possible, while the work of not particularly important ones is suspended.
Instructions
Step 1
To speed up your downloads when using a standalone download manager, make sure there is only one download running. Pause all others, then give downloads the highest priority, and close all applications running in the background and consuming traffic. You can avoid manual stopping if in the manager settings you set to start only one download at a time.
Step 2
When using a torrent client, follow the same recommendations as in the previous step. In addition to the above, minimize the upload - the speed at which your files are downloaded. Also give downloads the highest priority and disable download restrictions. If possible, do not surf the Internet using a web browser - in this case, the process is not much, but slows down.
Step 3
If you download using a browser, turn off the torrent and download manager. Even if there are no active torrent downloads in the list of downloads, downloads can consume a significant amount of traffic (information downloaded from your PC blocks the access channel as much as the one you download). After that, in the browser settings, disable the display of pictures, as well as the loading of java and flash. Remember that all third-party applications using the download channel, including those downloading updates, must be closed while downloading through the browser.
