Instructions

Step 1

The photographic technique is imperfect, so it is quite common for a photograph to have the wrong white balance and poor depth of field. You can fix this and thus improve the quality of the picture in Photoshop. To do this, open the image in the program.

Step 2

To edit the white balance, make a new adjustment layer by clicking on its icon (the circle is half black, half white) in the Layers palette. In the menu that appears, select the Levels item. Move the sliders in the dialog box so you can lighten or darken the image. The middle eyedropper in the same window is responsible for the white balance. Select it and click on the area that should be gray. The color balance of the image will change. Try clicking with the eyedropper in different areas of the image.

Step 3

In order to increase the contrast of the image, make a copy of the layer using the shortcut keys Ctrl + J, change the blending mode of the duplicated layer to Soft Light.

Step 4

Run the main menu command Filter - Other - High Pass. This filter is designed to keep edge detail in a specific radius where contrasting color transitions interfere with other parts of the image. The filter effect is the opposite of the Gaussian Blur filter. It removes low frequency detail. In this case, this is necessary in order to smooth out excessive contrast and make the image clear. In the filter dialog box, set the radius value to 3. This value is suitable for many images. You can look at the effectiveness of a filter by rewinding history a step back and comparing it to what has become. Or turn off the top layer.

Step 5

If you are not satisfied with the result yet, then use the Magic Wand tool. Click them on the blurred areas (sequentially or separately), after that, in the main menu, select the Filter - Sharp command. If you select blurred areas sequentially, then to repeat the action of the previous filter, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F.

Step 6

To remove noise from the sky, also take the Magic Wand tool, select the problem areas, then apply Filter - Gaussian Blur or Filter - Blur to them.
