The ICQ program is the simplest client for instant messaging, therefore not all of its versions support changing the interface language in the settings after installation. In earlier versions, it can only be set during installation.

Step 1
If ICQ is already installed on your computer, change the interface language in the configuration settings menu. Please note that this action is not available for all versions of the messaging client assembly, and for some, the choice of the Russian language is not available.

If changing the language from the program settings is not available to you, reinstall it. To do this, save, just in case, the data you need in the future (login, account password, message history, and so on) and open the "Control Panel". Select the Add or Remove Programs menu and wait for the list to build.

Find the ICQ program in the new window and click on the uninstall button on the right. Uninstall the program following the instructions in the menu items. Download the new version of ICQ with Russian language support. It is best to choose the assembly in which not only the language you need is available during installation, but also when you use it, it is also possible to change it to another.
Step 4
After downloading the program, check the downloaded files for viruses and run the ICQ installer. Follow the steps indicated in the appeared installation wizard, select the language you need from the drop-down menu and at the end, check the box "Run the program". Enter your account information in the ICQ system in the login form and log in, after which your program will work with the parameters you specified.
Step 5
If there is a crack for your version of the ICQ client, install it after downloading it from the Internet. But the best option is still reinstallation, since manually Russified programs can be unstable, while loading the system much more than usual. Also, pay attention to the qip and Miranda clients, they support advanced language settings for the versions already installed.
