In operating systems of the Windows family, sounds are assigned for most user actions, which are combined into schemes. Such sound schemes can be edited or replaced with others, for example, which were copied from the Internet.
Necessary
Operating system Windows Seven
Instructions
Step 1
The sound scheme includes about 30 different files with the wav extension. To listen to them, it is enough to use the standard Windows Media Player software for viewing and listening to media files. You need to listen to all the files to find the one that should be replaced.
Step 2
Open the "My Computer" window, find the system drive icon (by default "C:"). Double click on it to open it. Most likely, you will see a warning message about what to do next. Click on the only link in this window to continue working with the system drive.
Step 3
The next step is to find the Windows directory. If your computer has 2 operating systems, the native folder with the system may have a different name, for example, WinOS, Win, etc. Open this directory, then double click on the Media folder. Inside this folder are files in wav format.
Step 4
Open Windows Media Player to listen to these files. Click the top menu "File" and select "Open." In the window that opens, go to the Media folder, select all files (keyboard shortcut Ctrl + A) and click the "Open" button. Listen to all the tracks to find the one you want.
Step 5
After you know the name of the file, there are only a few steps left to do: rename the files and copy them to this directory. You need to copy the new file with the system boot sound to copy to Media. Then rename the original file to a different name, but remember to copy the original name.
Step 6
Rename the new file by pasting in the original name you copied before. Now restart your computer, log in and enter your administrator password if prompted. When the system starts up, you will hear the corresponding sound. If a new track is being played, then the replacement was successful.
