Step 1
Use a special connector - a diagnostic block to connect the on-board computer to the vehicle diagnostic system. The computer has a special connector for the car. Please note that special adapters are used to connect some devices. If the adapter is not included in the package, read the instructions for the on-board computer to connect the power and diagnostic line wires directly.
Step 2
Start configuring the on-board computer. As soon as you turn on the ignition and start the car engine, readings will begin, which will be displayed on the electronic control unit. Typically, a computer has two modes of operation: installation and custom.
Step 3
Set display options in setup mode. To do this, define the type of control unit and select it from the list as the main one or specify automatic selection by the computer. Set the mode for determining the amount and consumption of fuel in the tank. You can choose automatic determination by the control unit or manual, where you will create a consumption table and enter data into it yourself, and the on-board computer will determine the desired indicators and display on the display.
Step 4
In user mode, select the parameters to be displayed on the screen. It depends on the available functions of the device. An important parameter is the temperature at which the engine cooling fan is switched on. Also set the current time and an appropriate screen backlight brightness.
Step 5
Find out from the instructions where the keys for switching the displayed data on the on-board computer display are located. The switches are usually found in the display area of the device and steering wheel. A short press toggles between parameters, and a long press to reset them.
