First, check your computer for working parts. After all, they can be useful to you for upgrading a new computer.

For example, if the old computer has enough RAM, then it can be easily rearranged to the new computer. But first, check if the RAM from the old computer is suitable for the new one. To do this, you need a description of your old computer or the Internet.

To rearrange the RAM, take a screwdriver and unscrew the processor cover. Next, find the long green board, which is usually under the power supply. Press the clamps on the sides. Do this carefully, as they are very fragile on older computers. Remove the RAM from the processor.

There is another way to use an old computer. Take your computer and scrap it. But from the whole computer, you will only be able to hand over the processor. Find out the location of the nearest collection point and the metal from which your case is made in order to hand over the case from the processor to scrap metal. Next, make sure that this type of metal is accepted by your scrap metal collection point.
Step 5
If you still have a working mouse or keyboard, then they can be used as intended. But if the keyboard does not work, then it needs to be cleaned. To do this, take a cotton swab, slightly moisten it with alcohol, carefully remove the keys from the keyboard (first memorize or write down the arrangement of the keys). After that, wipe the keyboard, and put the keys back. If the keys cannot be removed, take a cotton swab and slightly moisten it with alcohol. Next, wipe between the keys with a cotton swab.
