Step 1
You can use the Add / Remove Programs window to uninstall Windows Media Player 11. First of all, you need to click the "Start" menu and select the item "Control Panel". In the window that opens, double-click on the Add or Remove Programs icon.

In the window that opens, click on the "Remove programs" item, in the new window, check the box next to the "Show updates" item. After a few seconds, the list of programs should be updated, and the item "Windows Media Player 11" will appear in it. Now you need to click the "Change / Remove" button.

After restarting the operating system, which must be done after a window appears on the screen asking to confirm the restart, go to the system under the "Administrator".

Open Control Panel, then open the Add or Remove Programs applet. Click the "Change / Remove" button opposite the Microsoft User - Mode Driver Frameworks Feature item. This will almost completely remove the player from your system.

To uninstall Windows Media Player 10, you will need almost the same. Launch the "Control Panel" by clicking on the "Start" menu. In the window that opens, double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon, then check the box next to Show updates if you are using Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed, otherwise you will not have to perform this action.

In the list of installed applications, select Windows Media Player 10, then click Change / Remove. After that, the standard installer will start with a request to confirm the removal of the system application for playing music and video files.
