Do not look for a specific codec - you will waste a lot of time, and the problem may remain unresolved. Go to the Codec Guide website and download the latest version of the popular omnivorous K-Lite codec pack.

By installing this set of codecs, you can be sure that any movie that was recorded using the most modern converting tools will play fine on your computer, unless, of course, we are talking about a very old, low-performance machine.

In a set with K-Lite codecs, the updated Media Player Classiс-Home Cinema will be installed on your computer. Open video files with it to ensure a guaranteed high-quality playback result.
Step 4
Also, keep in mind that when you try to play a movie recorded in a resolution that your monitor does not physically support, there may be frame delays during video playback. Right click on the video file and look in the properties for the video resolution. Let's say the resolution is 1920 x 1080, and your monitor only supports 1280 x 800. Naturally, it is better to leave the attempt to play such a video file without problems.
