A touchpad or touchpad is an alternative mouse in laptop or netbooks. However, there are not so many users using it, most prefer to connect an external mouse. This is convenient only if the laptop is used as a stationary computer, but if you need to carry it with you and work on your knees, the external mouse will only interfere.
Instructions
Step 1
Disabling or enabling the touchpad is not difficult at all. Mobile computer manufacturers have provided a special keyboard shortcut. On computers from different manufacturers, these are different combinations, usually they are indicated in the operating documents. If there are no documents for a long time, you can try to sort out the combinations "Fn" + "F5 - 12", this path will allow you to find out other combinations, since each of them allows you to quickly adjust the screen brightness, sound volume and other computer settings. For example, on Acer notebooks, the touchpad is enabled - disabled by the combination "Fn" + "F7".
Step 2
On some laptops and netbooks, the touchpad on / off button is located near the touchpad itself.
Step 3
It happens that the alternative mouse is turned off programmatically. In order to check this, you need to go to "Control Panel" -> "Mouse" -> "Device Settings" then enable or disable the touchpad. Here you can also configure the panel so that it will be disabled when an external mouse is connected and vice versa.
Step 4
In some models of mobile computers, the touchpad is enabled / disabled in the BIOS settings. To enter the BIOS, hold down the "F2" or "Del" key while loading, then find the Internal Pointing Device item, change its value from "Desabled" to "Enabled" (to enable) or vice versa to disable the touch panel.
