For example, you want to enjoy the beauty of music in your new headphones, but first you need to connect them to your computer.

Step 1
Most headphones use 3.5mm mini jack analog input technology. If your headphones are equipped with such a plug, then it is a small matter - to find the right connector. It is a small hole painted green at the edges. If you have a built-in or removable internal sound card, then the connectors (three or more) will be located on the back of the system unit. Provided you have speakers connected, this jack is easy to find, since both speakers and headphones are connected to the same analog audio output. Just pop the cord out of the speakers and plug in the headphones.
Step 2
Some speakers are equipped with built-in additional connectors that duplicate the functionality on the audio card. If one of the speakers has a headphone jack (even if it is black), this is what you are looking for. Feel free to insert - they will work. If there are several connectors, they are necessarily painted in different colors. Find the aforementioned green and try plugging into it. Additional connectors can also be located on the front panel of the system unit.
Step 3
The actions described in the first two steps are carried out on the condition that you have an external sound card.
Step 4
If you have a proprietary audio card software installed, it may detect the connection and disconnection of headphones to one or the other jack.
Step 5
If you use wireless headphones, you must have a USB transmitter. Connect it to a free USB port, wait for it to be detected by the system. When information appears in the tray that the equipment is defined, start using it. If these headphones come with a software disc, install it first. You should have an icon on your desktop, by clicking on which, you can turn on and configure the headphones.
