In order to be able to run some programs and applications before entering the operating system, it is recommended to create a startup disk. To write it, you need to take into account several nuances.
Necessary
- - Nero Burning Rom;
- - Iso File Burning.
Instructions
Step 1
To get started, learn how to burn disc images to DVD media. This is the easiest method. Many programs can be used to accomplish this. Download and install the popular Nero Burning ROM disc manager as an example.
Step 2
Run the Nero.exe file. The program window with the title "New project" will be displayed on the screen. Select the type of disc installed in the drive, such as DVD. Select DVD-ROM (Boot). Examine the right menu of the window that opens.
Step 3
Highlight the Image File option. Click the "Browse" button and specify the disk image file that you want to burn. Please note that after recording on the disk, not the image will be displayed, but the files stored in its archive.
Step 4
After selecting the required file, click the "New" button. Add additional files and programs as needed. Pay attention to the following nuance: in DOS mode, only those programs and utilities that were specially created for this will be able to run.
Step 5
Click the "Burn" button located on the main toolbar of the program to go to the detailed settings of the future disk. In the "Burn" tab, set the required disc recording speed. If you plan to use this startup disk with other computers or laptops, then do not set the maximum write speed. This can lead to incorrect reading of some files.
Step 6
In some cases, you need to activate the "Finalize disc" function to work successfully with it. Enable this feature. To start the process of burning files, click the "Burn" button.
Step 7
If you do not need detailed configuration of the recording parameters and the addition of new utilities, then install the Iso File Burning program. Run this app. Specify the path to the required file, select the drive and click the "Burn ISO" button. Wait until the process of writing files is completed.
