After reinstalling the operating system, we can often miss any information, including emails. Fortunately, if you managed to save e-mail files on your disk, you can restore them by importing them into your mail client.

Instructions

Step 1

Launch EML to PST Converter. If you want to import the sum of *.eml, *.emlx or *.msg files, you do not need to change anything on the first page in the wizard. Select the option for importing "Use default Outlook storage" and click on the "Next" button.

Step 2

On the second page, specify the source directory that contains the e-mail files and the subfolders to import. Click on the "Browse" button to select the source directory on the hard disk or manually enter the full path to it.

Step 3

The import of parameters and filters can be further customized. Click on the "Features" button to display the options panel. If you only want to import EML or EMLX files, then you can filter these files by size as well as by their attachments. Call advanced settings for importing parameters in the right part of the settings panel.

Step 4

After you complete all the necessary settings, click on the "OK" button, and then on "Next". The program will scan the selected directory with e-mail files and upon completion of scanning will display a list in which you can unselect the letters you do not want to import. Then click on the "Start" button to start the import process. If the default Outlook user profile is password protected, the program will prompt you to enter it. Enter the password in the corresponding field and click "OK".

Step 5

Now start Microsoft Outlook and check the result. You can reorganize imported emails, that is, move them to another folder, and so on. It should be noted that if you imported messages that were in the Sent Items folder, they will not be displayed correctly in the Inbox folder or another Outlook folder other than the Sent Items folder itself, since these messages have corresponding metadata only for the “Sent.
