Sometimes, when installing a new anti-virus program on a computer, errors may occur during the installation process. Often the reason for such errors is the incorrect removal of the previously installed antivirus software, that is, the program was removed, but some of the files are still stored on the computer.

Step 3
Go to the "Start" menu again, then to the "Control Panel" and go to the "Add or Remove Programs" section. Make sure that there is no shortcut to Kaspersky Anti-Virus in the loaded list of applications. Otherwise, uninstall it.
Step 4
The next thing we will do is continue deleting files using search. In the "Start" menu, click "Search". Specify “kav” as a search phrase, and click “Find”. Some files may not be able to be deleted. This can be caused by the blocking of running Windows processes. In this case, you can use specialized software to delete files, such as Unlocker.
Step 5
Now it remains to delete the antivirus entries from the registry. Go to the "Start" menu, click "Run", and in the window that opens, enter the command "regedit". Once in the registry editor, in the "Edit" section, select the "Find" item. In the window that opens, we look for phrases related to the antivirus, such as “kav”, “kaspersky”. After entering the phrase into the search bar, click "Find Next". Check the found entries. And if they relate to antivirus, then delete. To continue searching, press the F3 key. This operation should be repeated until the registry is completely cleaned.
