Checking for slots

Not all laptops support memory expansion, and therefore you must first make sure that the operation is possible. Take a screwdriver and unscrew the plastic shutter for the RAM strips. The installation process for RAM may vary depending on the device type and netbook model. Fold back the clips that secure the memory in the slot, and then position the bracket so that it fits easily into the desired slot. After installing the strip, the clamps should automatically engage.
