Sending video files by e-mail is often a hassle because they are usually large. An obvious way out of this situation is to split the file into several archive parts. Also, videos and even whole films can be transferred through file-sharing services, uploading them to one of these services and sending links to the downloaded files by e-mail.
Instructions
Step 1
Use an application that will split the video file into parts. For example, if you have the WinRAR archiver program installed, right-click on the file and select the "Add to archive …" line from the menu. The archiver will start and on the "General" tab will open the settings window.
Step 2
Look for the text "Divide into volumes of size …" to split the video file. Below is the maximum size of the parts (in bytes). If you write m after the number, you thereby designate megabytes (for example, 10 m).
Step 3
Click on the "Ok" button and the archiver will create a multivolume archive in the same folder, which will consist of files of the size you specified.
Step 4
Files can now be emailed like any other information. If you have a mail client installed on your PC, drag the first of the multivolume archive files into the letter editing window. Fill in all the required fields and send your email.
Step 5
If you will send a letter through a search engine's website, log in, then create a letter, fill in all the fields and look for a link by clicking on which you can attach an attachment to the letter. Click on it and select the first multivolume archive file and click on the "Open" button. Do the same with the rest of the archive.
Step 6
The second way to send a video is to upload it to a file-sharing service and send the recipient a link to download the file. First go to the service website, fill in the form fields. For example, if you use the IFolder service, the initial form on the service website will consist of only one field and an "Open" button. Click on the button, select the file on your computer and click "Open".
Step 7
Click on the "Upload" inscription to make the service scripts start copying the file (s) from the computer to the server. This can take on the order of several minutes, or maybe tens of minutes. It all depends on the size of the uploaded file.
Step 8
As soon as the file download is over, you will see a table with a list of uploaded files, as well as a form where you can specify a description of the file, set a download password, attach a cover picture.
Step 9
After filling in the required fields, specifying your mailbox and captcha code, click on the "Confirm" link, and you will see the final page, where you will see a download link, which must be sent to the recipient.
