On standard motherboards, the maximum voltage for USB ports is 5 volts. This parameter cannot be changed upwards without harming your equipment, so the only way out is to purchase a new motherboard instead of the old one, after making sure that the voltage in its USB ports is higher.

Step 1
Find out your hardware configuration. To do this, open the properties of your computer in the "Start" menu and in the window that appears with several tabs go to the one that is responsible for configuring your hardware. Find out which motherboard models correspond to your hardware configuration, while choosing among them those with more USB ports, preferably up to 12 volts, this is the maximum figure for modern motherboards.

Make sure to purchase such equipment, as in most cases standard voltage is sufficient for charging devices. Also note that for a morally outdated hardware configuration, installing a new motherboard model may not be suitable.
