To illustrate or explain the text, documents are supplemented with figures. You can improve the appearance of a document by placing an image in it, regardless of whether you are working with simple text or dealing with an html document.

Instructions
Step 1
Open a text editor. Insert a document into it that requires additional drawing. Mark the place where you want to insert the picture by placing the cursor in it. Expand the tab of the top menu "Insert".
Step 2
If you are using an old version of MS Word, click on the "Illustrations" group of commands and click on the "Picture" button. In the new version of Word, the Picture button is located on the Insert menu without having to open the Illustrations group. In OpenOffice, click on the "Insert" label, hover over the "Image" and click on "From File …".
Step 3
After opening the "Insert Picture" ("Insert Picture") dialog box, select the picture saved on your PC. Press Enter on your keyboard. The picture appears in the specified area of the text.
Step 4
To reposition the picture, drag it while holding the left mouse button. Resize using squares or circles in the corners of the image. Change the text wrap by right-clicking on the picture and choosing Wrap.
Step 5
Drag a picture from a web page into an open text document. Resize the picture and arrange it to your liking. If simple drag-and-drop from the web page is not possible, right-click the picture. Select "Copy Image".
Step 6
Paste the picture into the document: place the cursor in the required area of the text, right-click and select "Paste" or paste with the Ctrl + V keyboard shortcut. Resize and position as needed.
Step 7
If you are editing an html document and want to add a picture to it, use the tag, where image.
Step 8
Use html editor to insert picture into html document. Hover over the control icons of the document panel and wait for the pop-up window to appear. When the word "Image" appears in the pop-up window, click on the icon. Select and paste the image following the prompts in the window that appears. In the same place, select the centering of the picture, if necessary.
