Despite the active distribution of various USB-drives, a certain category of users prefers to store information on DVD-disks. To write files to these media, you must use special programs or standard utilities of operating systems.
Necessary
Iso File Burning
Instructions
Step 1
If you do not want to use additional utilities, record the information using standard operating system tools. Create a folder with an arbitrary name on your hard disk. Copy all the data you want to burn to the DVD into it. Remember that the folder size must not exceed the free space on the selected drive.
Step 2
Insert the DVD into the drive. Right click on the folder prepared for recording. After opening the menu, hover the cursor over the "Send" item. In the new window, select DVD-RW drive.
Step 3
Wait until the menu for preparing recording parameters opens. Fill in the "Disc name" field. Select an option for its further use. If you plan to play the disc using video players or stereo systems, then select the "With CD / DVD player" item. If you work with a DVD-RW disc and want to overwrite data on it in the future, then select "As a USB flash drive".
Step 4
Click "Next". Wait for the disc burning utility to complete. Open the contents of the DVD media and check the recorded files.
Step 5
To create specialized disks, you need to use other utilities. If you want the DVD to start before the OS boots, then use the Iso File Burning program. It is designed to burn files stored in ISO disc images. Launch this program and select the desired DVD drive.
Step 6
Specify the image file whose contents you want to write to disk. Click the Burn ISO button. Wait for the process to complete. Restart your computer and open the BIOS menu. Go to the Boot Options menu and find the First Boot Device field. Press the Enter key and select Internal DVD-ROM. Save changes, restart your computer and wait for the program to start from the disk.
