CDs with your favorite music have one drawback - they wear out over time, and scratches are especially critical. And the appearance of scratches from the car radio is a common thing. Therefore, many music lovers create a copy of the original disc, which can be rewritten again if necessary. Collection discs are often protected against duplication. But if you want, you can make a backup copy of your CD.
Instructions
Step 1
Open a search engine page such as Google or Yandex. Enter "download CloneCD" in the search bar. It is one of the most advanced disc ripping software. The Daemon tools utility can also be used, although it is less suited for copying protected drives.
Step 2
Download CloneCD. Double-click the installation file and click the Next button several times to install this program. After the installation is complete, a message prompting you to restart is displayed. Agree and restart your computer.
Step 3
Launch the desktop icon. The language selection window will open. Specify Russian and click "OK". Read the message on the screen about the disclaimer of the program creators from the warranty. Check the box next to "Do not show again" and click the "All right" button. The program window and a message about the utility fee will open. Click the "Try" button and you can use it for three weeks.
Step 4
Close the window with the program launch protocol. Press the button with the disc symbol and glasses to start the disc copy operation. No additional configuration is required, you just need to insert the source CD.
Step 5
Click the "Next" button and click the "Browse" button in the next program window. Select the location to save the disk image, and also specify the name in Latin characters. Then click the "OK" button to start creating the copy file. After a few minutes, the message “Reading complete” appears and everything is ready.
Step 6
If you want to burn the copy directly to a new disc, remove the original CD from the drive and insert a blank one. Close the autorun window if it appears and start CloneCD again. Activate the button with the disc and pencil drawing to start recording the backup. The program will ask you to specify the source file - select the image that you created earlier and click "OK". Click Next and wait for the recording to complete.
