Step 1
To quickly change video parameters, use Total Video Converter. If you do not plan to use it all the time, then download the demo version of this utility. Install TVC on your computer and restart it. Turn on this program.
Step 2
In the menu that opens, find the "New task" button and click it. In the expanded menu, select the "Import File" item. Select the desired video file by clicking on it with the left mouse button. After a while, a new menu will open. Check the box next to Use built-in decoder. Now select the video format to which you want to recode this file. In the work menu, they are divided into certain types. Select Lossless Avi for a lower image quality and smaller file size.
Step 3
Move the slider at the top of the menu to Low Quality. After choosing the format, you will return to the main menu of the program. Find the “Destination file” item and select the folder where the created video file will be saved. After completing the preparation of parameters, click the "Convert Now" button. Confirm the start of the process and wait for it to complete.
Step 4
Check the quality of the resulting video. If you cannot run it with a regular player, then use the Total Video Player program. Typically, similar problems arise when creating 3GP video or other formats for playback on mobile devices.
Step 5
If you want to cut out unnecessary parts of the recording, then use the items "Start point" and "End point". This will create a video file consisting of a single chunk of the selected video. With TVC software, you can also extract music from video files. To do this, select one of the music formats.
