Owners of flash cards often face such a problem as blocking USB flash drives. Access to data is limited only in the case of ensuring the safety of files, as well as in order to protect them from various other actions. Therefore, it is important to be able to find different ways to solve problems.
Instructions
Step 1
A file system failure can occur at any moment for various reasons, but most often due to improper shutdown of a removable device. In order to solve the problem that has arisen, you must use the "Safely Remove" function.
Step 2
Recently, drives have been equipped with special protection. This will greatly facilitate the task of finding a solution to the problem. So, on the side you can find a small button that enables or disables the data lock of a USB flash drive. If protection is enabled, a message will appear on the computer monitor stating that the disk is write-protected. In this case, it is prohibited to write, copy or move files. To solve this problem, you must click on the button on the side. After completing these steps, it should work as usual.
Step 3
You can remove the password from a USB flash drive by simply renaming it. To do this, you need to click on the "My Computer" icon, which is located on the desktop. Next, you need to select the "Properties" line and rename the drive in the "General" tab.
Step 4
After changing the name of the USB stick, it must be removed from the computer using the "Safe exit" function and reinserted.
Step 5
It is imperative to check the drive for errors using disk defragmentation. The data will not be affected by this procedure. To perform this action, select the "Service" menu on the computer monitor and click on the "Disk Defragmenter" function. This will optimize and improve the performance of removable media.
