Instructions

Step 1

Turn on your computer and wait for the first logo to appear.

Step 2

Press the F2 key to launch the BIOS Setup menu and go to the Advaced Bios Features section.

Step 3

Select the item responsible for the order of boot disks and set the values:

First Boot Device - CD-Rom;

Second Boot Device - HDD0;

Third Boot Device - Leave unchanged.

Step 4

Press the Esc softkey to return to the main BIOS menu and select Exit & Save Chages to exit BIOS mode.

Step 5

Press the Y key to apply the selected changes and insert the Windows XP installation disc into the drive.

Step 6

Select the "Install" command in the menu window that opens and press the Enter key in the new welcome dialog box to confirm the start of the installation process.

Step 7

Accept the license agreement by pressing F8 to continue installing the operating system in the next dialog box.

Step 8

Press the C key in the new dialog box to select a new installation partition for your hard drive.

Step 9

Specify the required size of the partition to be created in the dialog box that opens and press the Enter key to confirm your choice.

Step 10

Specify the created boot partition for the Windows installation and press the Enter key to confirm the application of the changes.

Step 11

Select "Format partition in NTFS" in the next dialog box and press Enter to start the formatting process.

Step 12

Wait for the formatting operation to complete and the desired files to be copied to the hard disk automatically.

Step 13

Wait for the computer to automatically restart and enter BIOS Setup as described earlier.

Step 14

Restore the original boot disk ordering settings and save the changes made.

Step 15

Exit the BIOS and enter the serial number in the appropriate window.

Step 16

Click the Next button in the installation selection dialog box and select the interface language and regional settings in the next dialog box.

Step 17

Enter the desired name in the "Name" field of the next dialog box and leave the "Organization" field blank.

Step 18

Wait until the installation of the Windows XP operating system is completed.
