Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your computer and open the drive tray. Insert the disk containing the Windows Seven installation files into it. Close the tray and restart your computer.
Step 2
Press the F8 key to open the bootable device selection window. Please specify the above DVD drive. Press any key to launch the installer.
Step 3
Select a menu language from the options provided. Proceed with the Windows Seven installation process. After a while, a window will appear containing a list of existing partitions and hard drives. In comparison with the Windows XP installer, in this menu you can make colossal customization of disks and their partitions.
Step 4
Click the Disk Settings button. Select the partition you want to clear and click the Format button.
Step 5
This menu allows you to delete hard disk partitions and create new ones. If you need, for example, to divide the hard disk into two partitions, select it and click the "Delete" button.
Step 6
Select the volume that appears, named "Unallocated area" and click the "Create" button. Enter the size of the future local disk. Select the file system type for it.
Step 7
Repeat the procedure described in the previous step to create another local disk.
Step 8
Be very careful. When formatting a partition during the installation of the Windows Seven operating system, it is impossible to change its file system type. If you need to perform this operation, then select the required section and click the "Delete" button.
Step 9
Select the unallocated area that appears and click the Create button. Specify the size of the local disk you just removed and choose a different file system type. Proceed with the installation of the Windows Seven operating system on a suitable partition for this purpose.
