Instructions
Step 1
Press the Fn + NumLock keys. The most common mistake among laptop users with shorter keyboard options is to turn on the numeric keypad using this combination, after which letter entry is not available in this mode. Typically, these buttons are located on the right side of the laptop keyboard and sometimes also work in conjunction with Fn. This function is also quite convenient to use in games for those who are accustomed to a full-fledged keyboard and often used the side panel when operating it.
Step 2
In case you really locked the keyboard, use the standard keyboard shortcuts, for example, Fn + F12, Fn + F7, Fn + Pause, Win + Fx (instead of x, there is any number from 1 to 12). This combination must be spelled out in the instructions for your laptop.
Step 3
If you do not have it for any reason, download the user manual from the manufacturer's official website (you may need to register, enter the serial number of the laptop and your e-mail box), and also contact technical support to find out the keypad unlock code, if necessary information you will not find in the instructions.
Step 4
If you have locked the touchpad in your laptop, press the Fn + F7 keyboard shortcut. If after that the corresponding icon is displayed on your screen, then you did everything correctly.
Step 5
When locking and unlocking using the Fn key, pay attention to the icons drawn on the keys. Most often they are placed in square brackets so that you can quickly see them among other buttons on the keyboard. Also, when blocking certain devices, find the icon on the buttons with the image of a lock or the word Lock in square brackets. Don't forget to read the manuals more often as well.
