To do this, the Windows operating system provides special commands.

Step 1
Click the "Start" button, and in the "Run" line, type cmd, then press enter on your keyboard. Thus, you start the command line, into which all system commands are entered to manage and configure the operating system, including configuring network connections. Also, do not forget that registry settings affect the entire operation of the system, so try to do everything correctly so that there are no problems in the future.
Step 2
Type the command net config server / hidden: yes and hit enter. This simple command will hide your computer from the network from prying eyes. In the "Network Neighborhood" of other computers, yours simply will not be displayed. To see other options, you can type net help config server at the command line, and the system will display a list of useful commands for configuring your network. Close the command line by clicking on the cross in the upper corner of the screen.
Step 3
To reopen a computer in a networked environment, see the command help by typing net help config server and entering the appropriate combination of characters. You can also set a unique workgroup for a computer through the properties by selecting the Computer Name tab. If you change the workgroup, the computer will need to restart. You can also set a unique subnet mask or IP address in a different range.
Step 4
In general, we can say that hiding a computer on the network is not difficult. You can also use the service to hide the IP address of your computer. To do this, go to a special site at 2ip.ru. Then select the tab named "Anonymizer". You need to select the country, the IP of which will be displayed instead of yours. Next, click on the site you want to go to. Now your computer on the network will be completely hidden from other users.
