As a rule, all personal computers have a standard keyboard layout. For each key its purpose is defined. For example, the bottom left key on a keyboard always prints the letter "i". But not all people fit into the standard framework. Some people may not find it very convenient to put a comma by pressing two keys at the same time. It is much easier to put the desired sign with one click.
It is necessary
- - a computer;
- - keyboard;
- - InetliType Pro program;
- - the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Therefore, there is an easy way to change the meaning of the keys on any standard keyboard. To do this, you need to enter the control panel through the "Start" button and select the "Keyboard" tab there.
Step 2
A window will open in front of you, where you must select the "Key Settings" tab. In the window that opens, you can view in the list those keys that can be reconfigured without a special program. Choose a key from the list, click "Configure". Then follow the prompts of the computer. However, it is worth remembering all the changed keys, since later you can simply get confused. Start by writing them down on a piece of paper.
Step 3
To change the meaning of other keys not listed, you need to run the InetliType Pro program. If you do not have this program, you can download it from the official website of Microsoft www.microsoft.com. In the "Key settings" tab that opens, check if the keyboard model is specified correctly. It is necessary to perform this operation, since the set of keys, the meaning of which can be changed, depends on the keyboard model
Step 4
If your model is not listed there, then open the "Modify" tab. Find the required keyboard in the list and click on "Ok". Look at the front or back for the name of the keyboard. Usually the name is located on the front of the keyboard at the very bottom.
Step 5
Then open the Reassign Key dialog box, select a new key value that is convenient for you. Confirm the selected command with the "OK" button. The key has now been changed. But changing the value of a key is not always possible. It depends on the operating system that is installed on your computer. For example, Windows Vista does not provide such features, so it is worth paying special attention to this factor.
