Instructions
Step 1
Insert the "IL-2: Sturmovik" game disc into your drive and wait for autoloading. After a few seconds, the game installer window will appear in front of you. Hover over the "Install Game" item and click on it.

After you start the installation, the installer will greet you, tell you about copyright and that piracy is bad. To proceed with the installation, click on the "Next" button, if you change your mind about installing, click on "Cancel".

If you nevertheless decided to proceed with the installation, the next window will prompt you to select a directory for installing the game. By default, the installation will be made to the "C: / Program Files / 1C / IL2" directory. However, the Program Files folder is the system folder. Therefore, in order to avoid conflicts with your operating system, it is better to choose something like this path to install "C: / Games / IL2.
Step 4
Check if you are satisfied with the selected directory and click "Next". The installation of the game will begin. In the middle of the screen there will be a scale with percentages, where you can follow the progress of unpacking files. You can abort the installation at any time by clicking the "Cancel" button. In this case, you will have to manually delete the files that have already been unpacked to your hard drive.
Step 5
The installation will take a few minutes, depending on the power of your computer. When it finishes, you will see the installer window, where you can confirm the end of unpacking the files by clicking the "Finish" button. After that, the game settings window will appear in front of you. Choose the screen resolution that suits you, video card, controller and sound settings. After that, the game will offer you registration in the GameSpy Arcade online service, as well as the installation of the program of the same name.
