User passwords in the Windows operating system are not saved in the registry. When a password is entered, a certain function of the entered password, username and pseudo-random value is performed, which is stored by the system. Encrypted and hidden passwords are stored in the SAM file - drive_name: / Windows / System32 / Config / SAM. However, user profiles can be found under HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the Windows operating system by clicking the "Start" button to perform the procedure for viewing the user profile. Go to the "Run" item.
Step 2
Enter regedit in the Open field and confirm the execution of the command to run the Registry Editor utility by clicking OK.
Step 3
Expand the branch HKEY_CURRENT_USERDefault
emote AccessProfiles and define your desired user profile. By default, the following user profiles are saved: - local; - relocatable; - mandatory; - temporary.
Step 4
Open the following registry key to perform the operation for editing the data of the selected user: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionWinlogon Double-click the service window of the DefaultUserNam parameter.

Enter the desired user account name and confirm the command by clicking OK.
Step 6
Open the service menu of the DefaultUserPassword parameter by double-clicking and enter the desired value of the new password in the corresponding field of the dialog box that opens.
Step 7
Confirm the execution of the command by clicking OK or create a missing key. To do this, call the "Edit" menu located in the top toolbar of the "Registry Editor" and use the "New" command.
Step 8
Select the dword option and enter the DefaultPassword value in the "Parameter name" line

Press the function key Enter, confirming the execution of the creation command and open the newly created key by double clicking the mouse.
Step 10
Enter the value of the desired password in the "Value" line. Confirm your choice with the OK button.
Step 11
Close the Registry Editor utility. Restart your computer to apply the selected changes.
