Instructions

Step 1

In the event that in any row of your table the data in some cells is displayed in full, and in others the content is truncated, you can align the row to the highest (filled) cell. To do this, move the cursor to the left edge of the working area of the sheet and place it on the column with line numbering. The cursor will change its appearance. Double-click with the left mouse button between the column, the height of which you want to increase, and the column below the edited one.

Step 2

You can use another option to fine-tune the line height. Move the mouse cursor to the left edge of the work area, place it on the column with line numbering so that it is at the bottom of the edited line. Press the left mouse button and, while holding it, raise or lower the line until you achieve the desired result.

Step 3

If you need to set the exact line height, also move the mouse cursor to the left edge of the work area and wait until the cursor turns into an arrow pointing to the right. Select a line or several lines, right-click on the selected range and select "Row Height" from the context menu. A small dialog box will open. Enter the value you need in the "Row Height" field and press the OK button or the Enter key.

Step 4

Some users are more used to working with toolbars. To perform the action described in the previous step in a different way, select the lines you need and open the "Home" tab. Find the "Cells" section and click on the "Format" button. From the dropdown menu, select the Row Height command, a new dialog box will open. Enter a value for the line height in the empty field and confirm the operation with the OK button or the Enter key.

Step 5

To set automatic selection of the optimal line height, also go to the "Home" tab and click on the "Format" button in the "Cells" section. Select "AutoFit Row Height" from the context menu. Now, when you enter data or change the font size in a cell, formatted strings will automatically align to the tallest cell.
