Microsoft Office Excel is more suitable for working with spreadsheets. However, you can style the text in it in much the same way as in a text editor, including making a list in one cell.

Instructions

Step 1

Start Excel and position the cursor in the cell where you want to create a list. Before you start entering data, format the cell appropriately. To do this, right-click on it and select "Format cells" from the drop-down menu.

Step 2

Alternative option: make the "Home" tab active, in the "Cells" block on the toolbar, click the "Format" button and select the "Format cells" item in the context menu. A new dialog box will open.

Step 3

For any list, even in the form of numerical values, it will be better to use the text format, so go to the "Number" tab in the window that opens and in the "Number formats" group select the "Text" item with the left mouse button. This means that your list will look exactly as you type it and will not be converted to a formula or function.

Step 4

On the "Alignment" tab, you can additionally mark with a marker the "Wrap by words" field in the "Display" group, and also set the parameters for the alignment of the text in the cell. After setting the parameters, click on the OK button, the "Format cells" window will be closed automatically.

Step 5

You will have to label the list yourself in a formatted cell, so start entering data with the desired icon or line number. After the data in the first line has been entered, press and hold the alt="Image" key and press the Enter key. This will allow you to move to the next line in the same cell.

Step 6

If you are used to entering text not in the cell itself, but in the formula bar, use the same principle: press alt="Image" and Enter each time you need to move to a new line. When finished entering data, adjust the cell width by dragging the column border to the right, or use the auto-fit column width function.
