At one time, the MP3 format revolutionized the world of digital music, making it possible to compress audio files several times without a noticeable loss of sound characteristics. Several dozen MP3 files of the highest quality can be recorded on one CD. This can be done using standard Windows tools.
Instructions
Step 1
An easy way to burn without additional software was introduced in the Windows XP operating system and since then the standard CD burner has been present in every new version of Windows. The way to burn discs in Windows XP will be slightly different from that in Vista and 7.
Step 2
To burn an MP3 disc in Windows XP, open File Explorer by clicking the My Computer icon or right-clicking the Start button. Click on the drive icon (CD or DVD drive) and drag your files into this window. You will see how your audio files are added to the pending recording section. Insert a blank disc into your drive and click Burn Files to CD in the taskbar. The Burning Disc Wizard will start. You will be prompted to enter a name for the disc, after which the recording (burning) process will begin.
Step 3
To burn an MP3 disc in Windows Vista or 7, insert a blank disc into the drive. The disc burn menu will open, in which you need to select the "Burn files to disc using Explorer" item. In the dialog box, enter your disc name (or leave it unchanged) and select "With CD / DVD player" and then click "Next". You will be prompted to transfer files for recording to a new window. Do this and click the button at the top of the Burn to CD window. Recording will start.
