If there is no need for any additional settings for the virtual keyboard, then you can use the standard Windows program. It's in the Start Menu - Accessories - Accessibility - On-Screen Keyboard. The usual layout will be displayed on the screen; to press the keys, it will be enough to click on the corresponding button with the mouse.
Step 2
Another well-known Windows program is "Virtual Keyboard". With its help, you can also enter confidential data, because it is not always possible to protect yourself from spyware that records keystrokes. The program has 75 language layouts.
Step 3
If you need to run the virtual keyboard on different systems, you can use the J Virtual Keyboard program. Its advantage is that it is written in Java and can run on any platform, it is enough to install the corresponding virtual machine on the system.
Step 4
There is also the Comfort on screen keyboard program. It allows you to adjust not only the layout, but also the width of the screen, transparency, which will allow you to see the entire screen under the keyboard. It provides all sorts of settings related to the placement of the keyboard on the desktop (for example, a mode that allows you to place it in a "fan" at the corners of the monitor). The program will be especially convenient for owners of touch monitors and tablet PCs.
Step 5
For Linux, there is a corresponding GOK package, which displays the desired layout in a similar way and provides the corresponding functionality when you press the desired key in the program window with the mouse. There is also a GTKeyboard application for Gnome, which allows you to conveniently use the virtual keyboard on the touch screen.
