Programs and browsers that download from the Internet, as a rule, save downloaded files to the default folder. In some cases, it is more convenient to save downloaded files to your own folder to facilitate file classification in the future. You can change the download folder in any browser and download manager.
Instructions
Step 1
In the Download Master, the download folder can be changed in two ways. The first way is to permanently change the folder for saving files. To do this, open the program window, go to the "Tools" item and select the "Settings" command. In the program settings dialog box on the left, select the "Downloads" line. Then, in the right part of the window at the very top, change the current folder for saving files (by default - C: Downloads) to any other. The second way is to change the save folder in the download properties window, which opens when it starts. By clicking on the icon in the form of a folder with a pushpin, files of this type will be saved to this directory by default.
Step 2
To change the download folder in the Google Chrome browser, click the settings button in the upper right corner of the window. In the menu that opens, select the "Options" button, which will open a special tab with browser options. In the left sidebar of this tab, click on the "Advanced" link. You can change the download folder by clicking the "Browse" button opposite the "Download location" line. Also, the Google Chrome browser can ask for the location of saving files every time. To do this, just put a checkmark in front of the corresponding line in the same window. In other browsers, the download folder changes in a similar way.
Step 3
You can also change the download folder in the uTorrent client right after opening the torrent file. Just click the "Browse" button and in the explorer window that opens, select the appropriate folder to download a particular file.
