ASUS is a Taiwanese manufacturer of computer hardware, components and laptops. At least a quarter of all computers in the world are assembled on the basis of motherboards from this company. This manufacturer equips its boards with different BIOS versions. Therefore, there are several ways to enter BIOS on Asus.
Instructions
Step 1
The simplest case is when you need to enter the BIOS of a personal computer. Turn on the computer and press the DEL button several times as soon as the screen lights up. On modern ASUS motherboards, the most commonly used System Preferences key is DEL.
Step 2
If the computer was turned on, restart it. Also press the restart button if you have already seen the Windows logo. Sometimes the computer boots up so quickly that it becomes difficult to catch the right moment and enter the BIOS. Please note that BIOS is the basic input and output system. That is, when you press the power button, the polling of the components immediately begins and their work on loading the operating system.
Step 3
Press the F10 or F12 button when starting the PC if you have an old computer (motherboard).
Step 4
To exit to BIOS on an ASUS laptop or netbook, press the F2 key after turning on the power. These devices usually have a more complex BIOS and can boot even faster than a regular PC. Firmware on a laptop often contains advanced security settings, touchpad controls, a replacement mouse, and an optional "instant boot" operating system. The vast majority of models known today use exactly F2 to access the system settings of the computer.
Step 5
In very rare cases, a key combination is used. If by pressing F2 you could not exit the BIOS, most likely you have just such a case. Then immediately after switching on, press the Ctrl button and, without releasing it, press F2 several times. Remember that the screen prompting you to press a button and enter the BIOS can flash very quickly, so try pressing the key several times when starting your computer or laptop.
Step 6
If you have a new laptop or computer, and you have not yet installed the operating system, but cannot exit the BIOS by pressing Del, F2, or Ctrl + F2, then replacing the keyboard may help. Connect an external keyboard and try the above options again.
