Step 1
Opening CDs also depends on the settings of your optical drive and the type of information that is recorded on the CD. For each file type, a specific opening program is prescribed. If you insert a disc into the drive, for example, with pictures, then when autorun is triggered, the program that is installed by default on your computer for viewing images will turn on. But this is not really opening the disc, since in the case of autorun, you do not open the storage medium itself.
Step 2
If you inserted the disc into the drive and autorun has opened, then close this program. Now open "My Computer". Click on the drive icon of your computer with the right mouse button. When the menu appears, select "Open". This will open the disk, and you will have access to the files that are saved on it.
Step 3
If autorun is disabled on the computer, then after you insert the disc into the drive, it will spin up, but no windows will appear. Regardless of the type of files that are saved on this disk, you can open it in the first way.
Step 4
If you inserted a disc into the drive of your computer, on which different types of information are recorded, a menu for selecting the opening mode should appear. Now just select "Open" from this menu and its contents will be available.
Step 5
You yourself can configure the autorun settings and choose with which programs the computer will automatically launch files on the disk. To do this, click the "Start" button. Go to the "Control Panel" and find the "Autostart" component there. In the window that appears, you can set the desired CD opening option for each file type. If you select the "Open folder to view files" option, the contents of the CD will open automatically.
