The Windows operating system startup list contains a list of programs that the system must launch immediately after it boots. This list is supplemented by the installed software or by the system user himself. Viewing or editing the startup list in Windows is not difficult at all.

Step 1
If you are using the latest versions of Windows 7 or Vista, press the Win key and type con on your keyboard. Then press Enter and an OS component window titled "System Configuration" will appear on the screen. In earlier versions, you won't be able to use the Windows search system in this way, so first call the program launch dialog - press the Ctrl + R key combination or select the "Run" item in the OS main menu. Then type msconfig, press Enter and you get the same result - the System Configuration application will open.
Step 2
Go to the "Startup" tab, and the task of opening the startup list will be solved. In addition to the name of the program being launched, it contains the location address or a link to the system registry line that contains this address. Each line of the list has a checkbox, by unchecking the checkbox in which you can disable the autoloading of a particular application. Turning on / off is the only action that can be done here with startup programs. If you need to supplement this list, then use the sequence of actions described in the next step.
Step 3
Open the main OS menu - click on the "Start" button or press the Win key. Go to the "All Programs" section, scroll down the list and right-click on the "Startup" item. If the program to be added to the list is needed only by the current user, select the "Open" item in the context menu, and if it should be launched for all OS users, use the "Open menu common to all" item.
Step 4
Add the shortcut of the required application to the folder opened by Explorer. This can be done by simply dragging and dropping its file with the right mouse button, or you can use the wizard called by the "Shortcut" command from the "New" section of the context menu - it appears when you right-click on the free space of a folder.
