It is often problematic to find the right wire to connect a particular device, given their total number in the hardware configuration of a modern computer.

Step 1
If you need to find a wire connecting the monitor to the video card, pay attention to a thick cable with a diameter of about 1 centimeter with two similar wide plugs on both ends in blue or white. The white plugs are for connecting the monitor to the digital output from the video card, and the blue plugs for the analog output.
Step 2
To determine which one you need, pay attention to the presence of connectors in the devices. If your monitor or video card supports one, but different connection interface, which happens very rarely, use a special DVI-VGA adapter, which usually comes with a computer or monitor.
Step 3
If you want to find the wires connecting the sound card of the computer to the speaker system, find among them those that contain a plug at both ends of the cable, which is also called a jack. One of them should connect the main speaker of the speaker system, and the second should be connected to the sound card on the back or side cover of the system unit using a special connector marked with a headphone icon.
Step 4
To find the printer connection cable, see the printer connection interface. Often, newer models are connected using a USB cable that has a standard plug at one end for connecting to the corresponding connector on a computer and a square plug at the other, it usually plugs into the back or side of the printing device.
Step 5
Connect older models using a serial communication port with multi-pin connectors. Usually they are connected using a huge plug, and for this purpose you will need a screwdriver, otherwise it will simply fall out of the connector on the motherboard. This applies to printers. Manufactured before 2000 and a few other obsolete models.
