Almost all manufacturers of printers (and consumables for them) try to make cartridges unique, not refillable. That is, it is assumed that each time a cartridge runs out of ink, the user will buy a new cartridge.

It is necessary

  • - the Internet;
  • - cartridge.

Instructions

Step 1

But the original consumables are very expensive, so users have resorted to different methods to refill the cartridge and print on it again. One of the easiest ways to get a printer to accept a refilled cartridge is to have three of the same cartridges in stock. Since the printer stores information about the last two cartridges, installing a third cartridge causes the memory to overflow and displace the first cartridge, so that it can be reinstalled in the printer as new.

Step 2

Use the utility utilities for the printer itself, which are included on the disc along with the drivers. The instructions for some printer models indicate the sequence of actions in which you can cause the cartridge to be zeroed. So, in a Canon mfp, when installing a refilled cartridge, it is enough to hold the reset button for half a minute.

Step 3

Search on the Internet and download the program to reset the information about the installed cartridges. To do this, you need to know your printer model or cartridge model. Such programs are quite common and easy to find. Reset the cartridge information by gluing the contacts on the chip. Which contacts to glue depends on the cartridge itself. Detailed information can be found on the Internet for your cartridge model. Carefully read each paragraph of the instructions, as if you do something wrong, you can seriously harm the printer, as well as all of its insides.

Step 4

If one of the cartridges is out of order and the printer does not accept it in any way, do not throw the cartridge away. Perhaps it will still come in handy for the implementation of paragraph 1 of this manual. If you cannot reset the cartridge in any way, it means that it has become completely unusable and it is easier to buy a new one or contact a specialized center so that the specialists try to reset the cartridge data on their own.
